Avalon Dock

One of the adventures of plein air painting is capturing moveable objects before they leave, or before they are covered by other moveable objects. No greater task is it than completing a car or boat before it leaves the scene.

In this painting of a dock at Avalon, boats would come and go from their slips. Fortunately, I was able to capture each boat shown in this painting with enough detail while it remained in the scene.
