First Keystone Federal
Introduces “The Tower” Limited Edition Print For WJJZ Charities

Reprinted from Town Talk Newspapers

The Tower”, painted by celebrated artist George Rothacker features the movie “Town Without Pity” on its marquee with headlights of the cars of the ‘60s brightening the streets. Mr. Rothacker, who has painted a collection of landmark theaters including the Media Theater and the Anthony Wayne in Delaware County, grew up in Upper Darby and lived on Richfield Road less than a block from the Tower. “I spent many days and evenings watching movies in the Tower as a teenager,” said Mr. Rothacker. “My graduation from Upper Darby High School was held at the Tower because of its size. We were the largest class of baby boomers, and I believe the theater was then used for years by the high school to house similar ceremonies.”

The Tower is one of ten theaters painted by the artist during the past 11 years. Others include the Media Theater, the Anthony Wayne Theater, the County Theater in Doylestown, and most recently, the Indiana Theater painted for the Jimmy Stewart Museum in Indiana, Pennsylvania.

50% of the proceeds of the sale of the limited edition, individually signed and numbered, full-color reproduction prints of “The Tower” sold through First Keystone Federal Savings Bank, the Tower Theater and Smooth Jazz WJJZ 106.1 will benefit WJJZ charities.
