Park at Eastern College

It was a rainy Saturday, with the weather unlikely to change. I asked my wife, Barbara, where I might paint under cover. She suggested the park near the pond at Eastern College where there is a protected area furnished with picnic tables.

It was not only rainy, but cold; I was left alone. About half way through my painting, cars and trucks pulled up, and people started arriving with picnic baskets and table clothes. The Eastern soccer team was going to have a pig roast.

I quickly completed the details of the painting.left the table where I was perched, and moved to the ground by a tree where I could finish painting the ground and the follaige.

I was invited to join the team for some “pig."
